Become an SEO Superstar: Learn to Code

If you're still in the process of finalizing a list of your new year's goals, then you are not alone. I have spent several weeks making lists measurable wishes to achieve this past year, but my number one goal to learn to code in Web programming languages.

Being part of a team of SEO in a digital marketing agency for the past two years, and was a big part of working with Web developers and here are some reasons why I think it is important that all SEOs should learn how to code:

1. Search engines are built by programmers

Huge piece of Google originally built in Python and Bing are based on ASP.net, there is a huge range of great open source search engines and search crawlers built all by other programmers. You can learn a lot about how search engines work and how to make you or your client site target search engine better. But in order to do this, you must first understand how these tools were built.

2. You'll learn how to think like a programmer

Good programming comes along with solid problem solving methodology. A good programmer always breaks down into small problems and solves them, one by one. Once you learn how to code, you'll understand this mentality. You will also have a clear idea of what is possible and what is. Generally, you will get a better understanding of the technical side of the site that develops the skills of your SEO, and will allow you to more easily communicate with developers.

3. APIs will open up for you

A lot of your work as an SEO is to gather a large amount of data in each location. By learning scripting languages, you can access APIs (application programming interfaces) and collect all the data in one place. Most of the SEO tools, such as the majestic wesimrosh, provide APIs. You can merge data from two or more tools and significant reporting for yourself.

4. Programming teaches efficiency

Write code a continuous cycle of coding and testing with lots of change and switch between them. Does this remind you of SEO? In your day-to-day sio'ir, things change always takes a lot of experimentation and adaptation to change to become more efficient. Once you know how to program, you can take all kinds of repetitive tasks and automate them.

5. Learning is good

Learn how to code is a great way to develop your analytical thinking and thinking, planning, and workflow. Not everyone has the patience to learn coding, it's usually not something that can simply be done just by reading some blog posts and articles. Learn how to code takes a lot of practice. So when you learn it, you really stand out in your company, and between colleagues within your industry. So, how can I start?

Now that you're all pumped up to learn this new language, to answer the central question of where to start? There are different answers to how to start learning to code, but the answer is to identify ' c '.

It would be difficult to understand the language elements used in programming concepts but if you build a solid foundation in the ' c '. Once you know the ' c ', you can learn any programming language more easily.

There are three important concepts to get familiar with ' c ', and generally in any programming language and theses:

• Syntax: check spelling and grammar of the programming language
• Programming language: the meaning of semantics
• Model: style programming language

You use different syntax and semantics and examples in different programming languages to solve the same problem.

Which Web Programming Languages should I learn?

C++

C ++ extension ' c ', and once you have a basic understanding of ' C ', you can introduce yourself to some of the elements that are unique to 'c ++ like object oriented programming, classes, and data abstraction and inheritance.

JavaScript

JavaScript is a scripting language for one client very useful. It is very useful for analyses as per measurement and marketing tags such as "Google Analytics tracking code is written in JavaScript. Learn JavaScript will also be of great benefit to the brand manager at Google.

PHP

PHP is one of the most widely used server side language in the world, and can help you greatly in your SEO. Can be integrated in the HTML code, and can help you get a wide range of databases, user authentication restricts access to certain parts of the site, and data encryption, automatic creation of files and much more.

Python

Uses Google app engine Python, this allows you to run Web applications on Google's infrastructure. This programming language is really easy to learn and can be used as a scripting language, or as an object oriented language.

JQuery and JSON

Using jQuery and JSON API calls that are familiar with each of these languages will enable you to accelerate your SEO and analytics work day after day.

Some final thoughts

If you feel overwhelmed with this list, just remember to avoid a lot of coding, and instead focus on learning the syntax, semantics and form. The main objective here is to understand the code and Web elements different how they interact with each other. It takes a lifetime to become a programmer great as there is no end to learning to code. Feel comfortable diving, code, break things and then repaired.
